Weatherization & HARRP means preparing your home so that it is warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. It means costing you less to heat your home in the cold months and costing you less to cool your home in the warmer months. What Services Are Provided?

Caulk and/or weather-strip your windows and doors

Replace broken window panes & rotten window sashes

Glaze windows-install air flow vents for proper air distribution throughout the house. Replace warped or rotten doors and casingsInsulate your attic, floor area, water pipes, water heater, and wrap heating ductsRepair holes in outside walls, floors, and roofRepair leaks around chimney areaReplace and/or repair damaged heating and/or air conditioning unit

 

How Can Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, Inc. Help?

If you are elderly, handicapped or a low-income individual with minor children in the household, Franklin- Vance-Warren Opportunity, Inc. can “weatherize“ your home at no cost to you. The service will be provided to homeowners as well as those persons who rent. However, for renters, a landlord agreement must be signed. Also, a small contribution is required from the landlord.

The Heating Air Repair & Replacement Program has as its objective, the provision for safe heating and cooling in the home. The program evaluates, tune-up, repair and/or replace heating and cooling equipment systems in households that received prior weatherization services. All work is performed by qualified persons.
